These one-day and two-day workshops are for teachers, administrators, counselors, coaches, and anyone else who works in the field of education. Please read below about the workshops we are currently offering.

Global Education for Educators

Date: Monday, November 23, 8:30am to 4pm 
Location: Ursuline Academy of Dallas 

Come to hear about the latest trends in Global Education from 4 experts in the field!  This workshop for teachers, administrators, diversity practitioners, and parents will enlighten and inspire.  The keynote address will explain how a special ed classroom in India can affect our schools here in America.  Breakout sessions will cover everything from building a case for greater global programs in schools, to activities and attitudes in the classroom that can create a more global perspective.  You will also have a chance to tour the brand new French Family Center for Math, Science and Technology, a building currently pending LEED certification.  The themes and activities will appeal to a broad base of teachers from across many disciplines, so come and add your voice and topic to the event.

Leader-Ship and Diversity

This one-day workshop will use the impressive story of a tall ship to illuminate our nation's history of race and social justice. Themes of the workshop include collaborative leadership, multi-cultural identity, youth empowerment, and how to promote each of these themes at your school. The setting of the workshop is on board a tall ship for a day at sea.

The ship's story, raising and lowering sails, navigating, and other sailing tasks will frame engaging dialogue and learning about the following topics:
- Collaborative leadership in action
- Definitions of leadership in the classroom and at your school
- Connections between diversity, global education, and leadership
- Lessons of group accountability and social responsibility


Religious Pluralism in Schools
Two days of dialogue and engagement of diverse religious identities


Program dates and location:
  • March 5 and 6, 2010 in Nashville, TN (co-Hosted by Harpeth Hall School and University School of Nashville)
  • August, 2010 in Chicago, IL
Every day we see religious diversity in the world around us. We hear that religion is a problem to be avoided. How do we engage the reality of diversity in the classroom? How do we encourage dialogue and empathy among students? How do we create a community which supports religious pluralism?

Workshop activities will focus on how to be a leader in your community for religious pluralism, how to assess religious pluralism at your school, how to think critically about new ways to teach your curriculum, how to engage diversity among students, and will include a workshop by Dr. Eboo Patel, Founder and Executive Director of Interfaith Youth Core.

Cost and Deadlines

$300 per participant.  $200 per person for 3 or more educators from the same school
