GYLI welcomes educators of all ages, disciplines, and levels of training to participate in our programs!
If you already have a profile on the GYLI website: please log in using the field in the top right corner of this webpage. On our new website, you can access the resources you need, and also interact with other participants through messages.
If you are new to GYLI: please read the information for educators below. If you are ready to register with GYLI, just click "Sign Up!" in the top right corner of this webpage.
As an educator, you can be involved in GYLI in several ways:
1) As a GYLI school coordinator
- help advertise our program to students and faculty
- organize a selection process for students to our program
- manage communication between GYLI and your school
2) As a teacher participant in GYLI summer institutes
- travel with students from your school to and from our summer institutes and participate in our challenging multi-day programs with a diverse group of students and adults
- engage in professional development at an optional 3-day training in the spring, free of charge
- improve your skills in tools to engage students in conversations about race, class, religion, global problems, leadership skills, etc.
3) As a participant in one of our professional development workshops
- see the document Professional Development Flyer to see our offerings for the 2009-2010 school year
